Features
Tent Fabric
The Ikamper roof top tent features a thick polyester and cotton canvas tent body that provides exceptional protection against harsh weather elements. The fabric is waterproof and thus will protect you and your stuff against rainwater or snow should you go camping during winter. Besides, it is breathable to minimize condensation and even quieter in the wind than tent bodies made of polyester fabric.
The tent canvas is complemented by a 150D polyester rainfly that has a 3,000mm polyurethane coating and taped seams for maximum waterproofing capability. However, when not in use the rainfly allows rolling up for additional ventilation, especially during dry weather.
Windows
It comes with 2 side windows that let you have greater views of the outside landscape right from the top of your Jeep Renegade. Besides, the windows provide excellent ventilation when opened. The windows feature inner see-through vinyl, mesh panels, and outer polyester panels that guarantee your privacy.
The no-see-um mesh netting ensures pesky insects are kept out while allowing the free flow of fresh air for more superb ventilation. The door is fitted with waterproof zippers to ensure no water comes in through them once zipped up.
The roof of the tent is fitted with a sky-view window to offer your additional light during the day and allow you to view the stars during the night. Inside the tent are two large pockets to allow you to organize your stuff with ease and convenience.
Mattress
To ensure you have a comfortable sleep in your Ikamper roof top tent, a 1.6 inch think high-density foam king-size mattress is included. This mattress is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. For a confident and comfortable night’s sleep, the mattress rests on a durable honeycomb aluminum floor panels. These panels are strong but lightweight not to add any extra weight on your Jeep’s roof top.
Ladder
The included telescoping ladder has a 330-pound weight limit and has angled and level steps that are easy to climb even for children. The ladder collapses for convenient storage and can extend up to 83 inches and to a total length of 90.5 inches to reach from the ground toy Jeep Renegade’s crossbars or roof rack.
Installation
Installing the Ikamper rooftop tent is a one-minute process since it comes with mounting brackets. If your Jeep Renegade has crossbar height of 1.2 inches and a width of 3.5 inches, then consider taking the mounting brackets 2.0. However, for higher cross bars, the mounting brackets 1.0 are recommended.
Also, note that the crossbars on your vehicle’s roof should be at least 30 inches apart and the tent weight limit is 900 pounds.
